Good day and welcome to the leading with nice daily. My name is Mathieu Yuill and this week we’re looking that leadership resiliency. Today I want to look at how you build resiliency as a leader. And there’s three tips I want to share that I have found to be helpful for myself and both people that I’ve worked with on building resiliency. Now, the first one might seem obvious, but it’s to really set reasonable expectations. And when you set reasonable expectations, if it doesn’t go your way, the downside of that is not as harsh. It’s not as hard to get over. You don’t have as high of a Hill to climb back up. And it just helps with resiliency. The second thing to do is to compartmentalize what’s happening. So when something bad happens, it’s easy to think your whole life is bad. But really if you can put that one thing in a box and remember all the other things, you’re going to have a much easier time with getting back to being in a good place. It’ll be easier to be resilient. And the last thing is this is to be self-aware. It’s to truly understand your weaknesses and what areas you will find will hit you the hardest. By being aware of those at the front, it’ll be much easier to get back to the top after you’ve run into something that requires resiliency. That’s all for today.
