$45,000/year

Job Purpose
Leading With Nice supports a variety of clients. The Office and Customer Support Coordinator at Leading With Nice will primarily provide administrative support to the Vocational Rehabilitation Association of Canada (VRA). With a commitment to customer service, this role supports the VRA with excellence in relationships and quality of work.

Job Responsibilities

Customer Support (75% of your time)

  • Customer support though telephone, email and social media
  • Board support including document preparation and minute taking at meetings
  • Committee meeting support
  • Online event support
  • Membership management and CEU support
  • Annual Conference (5% of your time)
  • Assist the Conference Coordinator in planning and executing the annual conference

Administration (10% of your time)

  • Board retreat planning and execution
  • Assist in the liaising with professional associations
  • Use membership software to update information, schedule emails and add content
  • Update content on various websites
  • Liaise with the accounting firm

General Responsibilities (10% of your time)

  • Attend weekly, quarterly and annual meetings
  • Uphold a strict level of confidentiality
  • Develop and sustain a level of professionalism among staff and clientele
  • Proficient in Google Drive, Docs and Sheets

More Information
In this role, you will be spending the majority of your time supporting a specific client. You will begin to become an expert on their association, their board’s needs and members’ needs. Everyone that you will be working with is a volunteer, which means board meetings — that occur monthly (about 8 to 10 times a year) — are in the evening and their annual planning retreat may overlap a weekend.

Board members volunteer their time and often pour their heart and soul into an organization because they believe in it. Being aware of this and respecting board members’ efforts will be key to building a relationship with them.

We use lots of technology at Leading With Nice and it’s okay if you don’t know it now, what’s important is that you are comfortable learning new things. For example, you’ll be using website software to update websites, tools to monitor social media inboxes and Zoom (of course Zoom!). If learning how to use these tools seems overwhelming to you, this isn’t the right opportunity.

We’ll supply you with a new computer, you’ll start with three weeks of vacation and a health and wellness benefit.
