Preventing Burnout with Janice Litvin

Janice Litvin is on a mission to help leaders and teams banish burnout.

“We’re humans. Humans are not little machines,” Janice recently told Leading With Nice. “We don’t come to work and make widgets. We come to work and think passionately and creatively. And if someone has a problem and you’re not taking the whole person into account, they cannot be as creative and productive as they would normally be.”

Her mantra is simple, yet it’s one that many companies and organizations fail to embrace: replacing your employees is much more expensive and time-consuming than helping them be well.

And in the era of COVID-19, this approach to management is especially critical.

Janice’s expertise comes from over 20 years in the human resources field, 10 years in the IT industry, studies in psychology, and experience changing her own behaviour in response to stress using cognitive behaviour therapy.

She coaches leaders on keeping teams happy and productive by providing simple, easy-to-implement techniques to manage stress to prevent burnout, engage in wellness, and fall in love with fitness.

Janice talks to Leading With Nice about all of this and more on this week’s episode. Check it out below.
