Good day and welcome to the leading with nice daily. My name is Mathieu Yuill and this week we’re looking at the question, do you know what your employees really want you employees today? Much like customers aren’t just looking to work at a place where they have the product they want, they have like they have the industry or the job ad they like doing and the money they make. They actually want to trust the company they work for. They want to align their values with that company and one of the ways you can do that as an organization is show your employees that you’re willing to care about who they are. Individuals no longer will employees be satisfied as being you know, an asset on the balance sheet or be known as like the amazing customer service agent. Often they want to be known as Patty who loves her three kids and always bakes them a Christmas pudding in December and also offers amazing customer service.

They want to be known not only as the great data analytics guy that you can always crunch the numbers on a whim. They want to be known as Patrick, who’s an amazing ultimate Frisbee player and we’re hoping he plays for the company team next year and also crushes the data analytics. So your first chip this week is just simply this. Take time to get to know your employees, ask them questions, take them to lunch. That’s offered today.
